Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy is hiring an experienced HVAC/industrial automation professional to design, program, and commission building automation systems. You will create control algorithms, manage databases, and coordinate with IT to ensure reliable networked operations across multiple platforms.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, 6+ years with Siemens Apogee/Desigo, knowledge of IP networks, blueprints reading, and programming skills in Java/C++.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Siemens Apogee and Desigo.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems – unitary systems to central plants.
• Troubleshooting skills for determining HVAC vs. computer/controller issues.

Responsibilities

• Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface.
• Experience in multiple systems integration, getting different protocols to talk to each other and share information. One front end for multiple platforms.
• Execute project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed BAS controls and mechanical systems on assigned projects.
• Participate in the layout and coordination of network drops, IP addresses and monitoring tools with customer's IT department personnel.
• Work with equipment vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for integration to their systems.
• Run semi-complex reports to analyze system operation, work with the project team to demonstrate system operation and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work.
• Participate in final inspection and testing, assure customer acceptance, and conduct training for end-user customers on system operations.
• Provide plans & control system documents to application engineering for as-built drawings using the latest digital technology.
• Mentor other specialists who may need specific automation or HVAC product knowledge.

• Knowledge of object‑oriented programming (Java, C++).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD a plus.
• Experience with BACnet and/or LON/Lonworks, Tridium Niagara, Direct Digital Controls, Honeywell Webs, Modbus, Alerton, Johnson Controls FX, Staefa, Solidyne, Andover Controls, Siemens, and Schneider preferred.
