Job summary
Inspection Experts, Inc. is seeking a BAS Engineer to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on building automation and HVAC systems at federal facilities. The role includes travel and remote work with responsibilities spanning reporting, parts replacement, and system modernization.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in BAS maintenance, strong BACnet/Modbus experience, and knowledge of network connectivity. U.S. citizenship and Top Secret clearance eligibility are preferred.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience supporting BAS maintenance, repair and replacement projects.
- Experience creating and modifying Building Automation System graphics with BACnet/Modbus.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation technology.
Responsibilities
- Perform BAS preventive maintenance, point-to-point checkouts, and troubleshoot BAS/HVAC systems in large facilities.
- Develop comprehensive service reports with trip summaries, findings, and proposed solutions.
- Repair, modify, replace parts and software for BAS and related systems.
- Upgrade obsolete systems with limited manufacturer support due to remote locations.
- Provide training to facility engineers with limited BAS knowledge.
