Competitive salary between $130,000 - $160,000 per year.

Location: Remote (U.S. based)

Travel: 50–80% nationwide

We are partnered with a leading U.S.-based systems integrator that delivers highly engineered automation solutions for complex, mission-critical environments. Their work spans building automation, HVAC controls, power monitoring, lighting controls, and advanced PLC/SCADA systems for some of the most demanding facilities in the country.

This organization is known for tackling large, technically challenging projects and executing them with precision, speed, and accountability.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of large-scale building automation and controls projects across multiple sites nationwide. This is a highly visible role responsible for driving project strategy, overseeing execution, and serving as a key liaison between clients, engineering teams, and leadership.

While the role is remote-based, it requires significant travel to project sites and client locations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in the field, understands complex BAS and controls environments, and can manage multiple moving pieces without losing sight of quality, budget, or schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of multiple BAS and controls construction projects across the U.S.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and overall financial performance.
• Direct and mentor project engineers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations and resolving escalations.
• Oversee contracts, change orders, procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical submittals, and bills of material.
• Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and forecasting.
• Provide clear reporting on project status, milestones, and financials to senior leadership.
• Help standardize processes and best practices to improve delivery consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal project systems, documentation standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing construction or controls projects, ideally within BAS, HVAC controls, or MEP environments.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-site projects with cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical understanding of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and commissioning workflows.
• Solid financial and business acumen, including forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage field teams, clients, and executive leadership.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–80% nationwide.
