Job summary

ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client Experis, seeks a Senior BAS Design Engineer to support hyperscale data center BAS design and controls delivery. This fully remote role in the Redmond, WA area involves reviewing submittals, validating BACnet/Modbus/DDC/PLC architectures, and collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and facility teams to ensure reliability and operability.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in BAS/controls, strong communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of BAS and controls design experience with complete BAS design packages.
• 10+ years reviewing BAS submittals to standards and driving closure.
• 10+ years hands-on experience with BACnet, Modbus, DDC and PLC controls with network architecture and integration.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and facility systems related to controls for critical facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Visio; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review BAS vendor and integrator submittals for compliance with design standards and intent.
• Issue technically grounded comments and track closure through revisions.
• Validate controls hardware and communications across BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, MQTT, and related platforms.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and facility engineers on design reviews, RFIs, and field issues.
• As program grows, develop BAS submittal packages including sequences, points, network diagrams, and schedules.
