Job summary

The Bankruptcy Litigation & Restructuring Associate at a respected national law firm in New York seeks a 3rd–7th year attorney to join its practice in New York. You will handle sophisticated Chapter 11 proceedings, restructuring matters and high-stakes bankruptcy litigation with a collaborative platform.

You will represent creditors’ committees, trustees, debtors and creditors, draft pleadings, motions and filings, participate in court proceedings, and collaborate across offices.

Qualifications

• 3rd–7th year associate with bankruptcy or restructuring experience in a law firm.
• Experience with Chapter 11 proceedings and creditor-side representation preferred.
• Excellent drafting, research and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court workouts.
• Represent creditors’ committees, liquidation trustees, receivers, debtors, landlords and creditors.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and bankruptcy filings.
• Participate in court proceedings and contested litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis.
• Collaborate across offices and practice groups on sophisticated restructuring matters.
