Job summary

Jobot's Bankruptcy & Restructuring group in New York seeks an associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its creditor-side practice.

You will work on sophisticated Chapter 11 restructurings, distressed transactions, and bankruptcy litigation, with substantial client contact and direct access to partners. The firm offers a collaborative culture, hands-on mentorship, and a market-aligned compensation package.

Qualifications

• Strong legal writing, analytical, research, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain promptly).

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in Chapter 11 reorganizations, restructurings, and related insolvency proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, negotiations, and case strategy.
• Advise clients on restructuring alternatives and distressed transactions.
• Manage multiple matters collaboratively across practice groups.
• Conduct legal research and prepare strategic recommendations.
