Restructuring & Insolvency Litigation Associate

Location: New York, NY

A leading global law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice in New York. This is an exceptional opportunity to advise clients on sophisticated Chapter 11 proceedings and out‑of‑court restructurings while working alongside an internationally recognised restructuring team. The role offers exposure to complex domestic and cross‑border matters, significant responsibility and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across a global platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and complex restructuring matters
• Support in‑court and out‑of‑court restructurings for a broad range of stakeholders
• Draft pleadings, motions and other substantive legal documents
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice on restructuring and insolvency issues
• Assist with distressed transactions and restructuring negotiations
• Work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated domestic and cross‑border matters
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across international offices to deliver integrated legal solutions

Who You Are

• 3rd–5th year associate
• Experience with Chapter 11 proceedings and out‑of‑court restructurings
• Strong drafting, analytical and legal writing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Comfortable working within a collaborative global team environment
• Bankruptcy court clerkship experience preferred but not required
• Strong academic credentials
• Admitted and in good standing with the New York Bar

Compensation

Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
