Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Banking Specialist III with a sales focus to expand client relationships and drive growth in branch sales and referrals. The role combines customer service excellence with proactive product cross-selling across bank lines.

You will assist with loan applications, open accounts, and support commercial and small business clients while adhering to NMLS requirements and regulatory disclosures. A flexible schedule, including Saturdays, is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred.
• Minimum of 24 months of sales and/or banking experience preferred.
• Life License (LB) preferred
• NMLS registry required
• Proven sales skills
• Good analytical skills
• Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication
• Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard
• Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Expand current client relationships and build new client relationships by understanding needs and offering appropriate product features.
• Explain merits of Online Banking, Online Bill Pay, ATM network, Debit Card, Mobile Banking, and Client Contact Center.
• Work toward branch and individual sales and referral goals.
• Retain existing clients and obtain new relationships through calls on maturing accounts and referrals.
• Go on business calls with Branch manager, merchant reps, and/or business development officers, and initiate sales when possible.
• Drive branch profitability and client satisfaction by cross-selling Bank products.
• Cultivate relationships with retail store associates in in-store branches.
• Increase sales and cross-sell opportunities through sales events and outreach.
• Contribute to CRA goals by participating in community service activities.
• Collaborate with management to define sales strategies to meet goals.
• Open new accounts and other products accurately and expeditiously; provide disclosures as required (NMLS registration).
• Identify borrowing needs and originate consumer loan applications; assist in processing and closing loans.
