Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months client service experience.
• Previous cash-handling experience required.
• Previous banking experience strongly preferred.
• NMLS registration preferred.
• Developed customer service skills including written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard.
• Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent client service by accurately opening new accounts and other products for current and new clients.
• Maintain on accounts and products as requested by clients.
• Explain rates, terms and fees; provide required disclosures as needed (NMLS registration may be required).
• Expand use of online and alternative delivery systems; promote Online Banking, Online Bill Pay, ATM network, Debit Card, and Client Contact Center.
• Identify borrowing needs and originate consumer loan applications; assist in processing and closing loans.
• Increase sales and cross-sell opportunities through events and outreach.
• Greet clients, maintain a friendly demeanor, and preserve relationships by processing transactions promptly.
• Assist in branch compliance tasks including cash audits, audits, training, reports, and security procedures.
• Balance cash drawers, monitor security, and report any out-of-balance conditions to management.
• Coach Banking Specialist I on products, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to sales and referral goals and cultivate relationships with store partners.
• Prospect for new clients via calls on maturing accounts and leads.
