Job summary

Amerant Bank is hiring a Banking Specialist to deliver exceptional customer experiences while handling teller and platform transactions. You will learn customer needs, offer suitable products, and support mobile/online banking.

You’ll also educate customers on channels and proactively grow relationships within the branch. As part of operational excellence, you’ll process transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with account openings and KYC.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in bank sales and service environments.
• Able to handle banking transactions and customer inquiries.
• Knowledge of KYC requirements and compliance basics.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and issuance of cashiers’ checks.
• Open new accounts and perform maintenance, including debit card issuance and KYC checks.
• Review account activity for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and balance reporting.
• Assist with ATM operations, cash recycler, drive-thru, and night drop duties.
• Meet or exceed sales goals while delivering quality customer service.
• Promote banking channels and educate customers on products and services.
• Refer customers to other lines of business as appropriate.
