Job summary

Amerant Bank is seeking a Banking Specialist to process teller and platform transactions, manage lobby activity, and support mobile and online banking solutions. You will educate customers on consumer and small business products and help turn customers into loyal clients.

In this role you will balance cash, open and maintain accounts, and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and other regulatory requirements, using Outlook and MS Office to stay organized and responsive.

Qualifications

• 3 years of banking sales and service experience.
• NMLS registration required or willing to register.
• FBI background and credit checks must be passed within 30 days.
• Proficient with Outlook; MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process all financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and cashier's checks.
• Balance end-of-day banking center and resolve issues.
• Open new accounts and perform maintenance; issue debit cards; complete KYC requirements.
• Educate customers on consumer and small business banking products.
• Follow Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and security procedures.
• Develop customer relationships and refer prospects to appropriate products.
