Job summary

1st Security Bank in Washington state seeks a Senior Business Development Officer to grow business relationships and actively solicit new clients. You will manage a sales pipeline, open new accounts for businesses and households, and cross-sell bank products.

The role leads branch sales and collaborates with Community Banking and Treasury Management to expand local relationships. The position requires strong communication, prospecting, and closing skills, with a focus on WOW customer service and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years experience in a sales role within a financial institution
• Basic Knowledge of all applicable Regulations that pertain to this position is required
• Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs
• Must be bondable

Responsibilities

• Learns, applies, and consistently adheres to all Retail Sales and Service Protocols
• Appropriately uses open ended profiling questions during each customer interaction and recommends appropriate bank products and services
• Demonstrates an excellent ability to “ask for the business” and to “close the sale”
• Opens new accounts for businesses and households in strict accordance with bank’s policies and procedures
• Works on business loans
• Appropriately cross-sells additional bank’s products and services to businesses and households
• Actively maintains a business development pipeline
• Designated as the lead sales position in the branch
• Partners closely with Community and Business Banking, and Treasury Management
• Appropriately refers prospects to other bank partners
