Job summary

First Bank (FBNC) is seeking a Testing and Monitoring Compliance Analyst II to evaluate and execute complex compliance reviews across key business operations. This role supports development of testing and monitoring programs, applying independent judgment to assess regulatory risk and identify control weaknesses.

You will design and enhance testing methodologies, oversee remediation actions, and coordinate with internal teams and regulators to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or five or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of bank personnel and regulators; detail oriented and multi-tasking.
• Familiarity with Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute compliance testing and monitoring reviews using established methodologies and regulatory guidance.
• Maintain proficiency in compliance testing and monitoring disciplines and support priorities and schedules.
• Analyze complex data, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
• Develop and enhance testing methodologies, risk-assessment frameworks, and reviews protocols.
• Direct and oversee issue-remediation processes and evaluate corrective action effectiveness.
• Coordinate requests and documentation during internal and third-party reviews.
• Adhere to corporate policies and federal/state regulations including BSA/AML.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or five or more years of related experience
