Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Testing & Monitoring Compliance Analyst II to evaluate complex compliance reviews and support risk mitigation across operations. You will design testing programs, coordinate reviews, and provide independent findings to leadership.

Ideal candidates will have a bank compliance background, strong communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment in Asheville, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or five or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background in Bank administration, operations, compliance and auditing skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills along with excellent organizational skills are vitally important.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
• Must be dedicated to the goals and visions of the organization.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of bank personnel and bank regulators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute compliance testing and monitoring reviews using established methodologies, sampling standards and regulatory guidance.
• Maintain proficiency in both compliance testing and compliance monitoring disciplines.
• Analyze complex compliance data, determine root-cause vulnerabilities, and formulate independent findings.
• Develop testing methodologies and risk-assessment frameworks to evolving regulations.
• Direct and oversee issue-remediation processes and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate requests and provide documentation during reviews with internal teams or third parties.
