Job summary

First Horizon Bank is seeking a Client Specialist Sr to support our banking line by delivering exceptional service and operational support to associates and clients. You will manage client requests, facilitate account operations, and ensure accurate documentation and transactions, acting as a liaison among clients, associates, and internal partners.

The role emphasizes relationship management, cross-selling, and adherence to risk controls while supporting growth initiatives across the portfolio

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be required or preferred as per the posting.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and ensure complete, accurate documentation is obtained from clients
• Collect and review entity due diligence, KYC, and beneficial ownership information
• Image and index all deposit and client documentation to ensure proper recordkeeping
• Perform account maintenance, including adding/removing signers and updating client records
• Respond to client inquiries regarding bank products, services, account details, and policies, conduct account research, file and process fraud claims
• Proactively identify cross-selling opportunities, recommending additional bank products and services that align with clients’ operational needs
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking systems, internal processes, tools and resources
• Research and resolve exceptions in required documentation; loan, collateral and deposit exceptions, assist with past dues
• Provide loan support to relationship teams, collection of payments and fees, processing advances on lines of credit
• Demonstrate knowledge of the loan documentation process and related documents
• Collaborate with Loan Operations, Treasury Management and Deposit Operations to ensure ongoing monitoring of services
• Assist in generating reports from banking systems and platforms
• Assist with the preparation of bank materials to support relationship management
• Serves as a subject matter expert and peer mentor for other Client Specialists
• Leads Client Specialist training sessions for the market
• Provides day-to-day guidance on complex client needs, systems, and procedures
• Models service excellence, operational accuracy, and adherence to risk and compliance standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
