Job summary

Citi is seeking a Business Dev Lead Officer to guide strategic initiatives within banking operations and to influence cross-functional teams across Citi’s Consumer Sales and Consumer Business Development groups. The role emphasizes building trusted relationships with bank assessment areas to generate and exceed goals.

The candidate will lead market research, develop business plans, and coordinate internal and external meetings while ensuring compliance with laws and Citi policies.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years relevant banking experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills.
• Exceptional consulting and presentation abilities; ability to listen and clarify inquiries.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with NMLS and obtain a unique identifier.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships within Citi’s assessment areas to promote and generate business.
• Provide training on lending programs/products to external partners and internal teams.
• Manage relationships with external clients to increase lending penetration.
• Assist in coordination across Citi business units for new business development and opportunities.
• Develop business plans and prospecting strategies for high-priority opportunities, including market research and SWOT analyses.
