Job summary

Citi is seeking a Business Development Lead Officer in a telecommuter role in California. This strategic position focuses on building trusted relationships, driving new business development, and coordinating with Citi’s various units to meet lending goals.

You will provide training on lending programs, analyze prospects, assemble business plans, and monitor pipelines while ensuring compliance with laws and Citi policies. The role requires mortgage origination registration and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years relevant banking experience
• Demonstrated leadership and relationship management with bank partners
• Exceptional consulting and presentation skills; ability to probe and listen to clarify inquiries
• Must register as mortgage loan originator with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry before engaging in activities

Responsibilities

• Proactively build trusted relationships within bank assessment areas to promote and generate business.
• Facilitate financial education, seminars and outreach to generate business.
• Provide technical training on lending programs/products to external partners and internal teams.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with external clients to increase lending penetration.
• Support strategic planning and coordinate new business development efforts across Citi units.
• Perform deep dive research on new prospects including company research, financial analysis and value proposition.
• Assemble business plans for high priority prospects and maintain tracking.
• Coordinate market research requests including brand data analytics and mystery shopping.
• Prepare prospect meeting presentations and manage the deck production.
