Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Controller with extensive banking and financial services experience to lead the Bank and holding company accounting, reporting, and controls. You will drive close cycles, regulatory filings, and interactions with auditors and regulators, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, deep GAAP knowledge for financial institutions, and the ability to manage complex, regulated environments with precision.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with banking experience.
• Direct experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in banks.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP for financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations for the Bank and holding company.
• Oversee financial reporting and regulatory filings, including Call Reports.
• Manage month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes with audit readiness.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting and forecasting; perform variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls; ensure FDICIA compliance and testing.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory examinations.
• Prepare audited financial statements and annual reports per GAAP.
• Oversee holding company accounting, including dividends.
• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and controls.
