Job summary

County National Bank is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead technical accounting, consolidate financials, oversee CECL modeling, and coordinate regulatory reporting. This on-site role supports the Controller, reviews journal entries, ensures internal controls, and drives examiner-ready documentation.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s in accounting and 3–5 years banking or accounting experience, with strong communication, analytical, and system skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting and/or banking experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financials per GAAP.
• Maintain internal controls and perform reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and supervise accounting staff.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with CECL model development and data integrity.
• Assist with close process and policy research.
• Support audit readiness and examiner requests.
• Document processes for continuous improvement.
