Lewis Bakeries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant based in LaPorte, Indiana, with responsibilities spanning product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis for LaPorte and Fort Wayne baking plants.

The role reports to the Director of Cost Accounting within Finance / Accounting and may involve travel to the Fort Wayne plant. The position emphasizes maintaining reliable cost data, supporting cost control, and improving plant performance through accurate reporting

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with ERP costing and inventory modules.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain standard costs for finished goods and intermediates at assigned plant(s).
• Own bills of material, routings, work centers and labor/overhead rates in the ERP.
• Lead the annual standard cost update and mid-year revaluations for ingredient, packaging, or wage changes.
• Prepare cost estimates for new products and assist with corporate cost analysis/reporting.
• Support daily work order reconciliation and investigate variances with bakery leadership.
