Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and operate core platform services that support other engineering teams, capable of handling very high traffic with low latency.

You will own backend capabilities such as routing, caching, asynchronous processing, and durable event handling, collaborating with product and engineering teams to raise the internal developer experience and drive platform initiatives across quarters.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating internal platforms or shared services consumed by multiple engineering teams.
• Strong design of distributed systems with consistency, availability, latency, and failure-mode considerations.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++.
• Deep knowledge of high-throughput messaging, streaming, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pulsar, NATS).
• Working knowledge of relational, key-value, document, and search data stores.
• Experience leading multi-quarter platform initiatives with stakeholder management and technical decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to document trade-offs clearly.
• Mentoring engineers and shaping engineering culture.
