Tanium Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in a Hybrid role across Bellevue, Durham, and Emeryville. You will build and maintain backend services at scale, collaborating with product management to ensure customer-centered design and robust delivery.

Qualifications include 7+ years in the field, strong C++ knowledge, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and a track record of building observable, secure systems. The role emphasizes automation, testing, and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years industry experience; 10+ preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of C++.
• Experience designing and building high-performance, secure, scalable, observable, maintainable backend services and APIs.
• Experience with public cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with cryptographic primitives, TLS, PKI.
• Experience with HTTP API design and development.
• Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like Git, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools and technologies into software development, including AI-assisted coding and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Tanium's servers and client alongside a highly agile development team.
• Focus on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure products are designed correctly from the start.
• Design, develop and test new product ideas from the ground up with product management input.
