Quanata, LLC is hiring a Senior Manager, Back End Engineering to lead core policy, billing, and financial ledger platforms that enable key product and operational initiatives. You will guide architecture and deliver scalable, secure systems while coaching mid-level to staff engineers.

You will collaborate with Product, Program Management, and other teams to align technical work with business goals, driving engineering excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8–10 years software engineering experience with 4+ years in engineering management.
• Experience with personnel development and performance management.
• Project management experience and roadmap planning.
• Strong architecture fluency for backend systems.
• Executive-ready written communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mid-level, senior, and staff software engineers.
• Provide architectural guidance for backend systems.
• Partner with PM, Program Management, and cross-functional teams for product delivery.
• Improve engineering processes and capacity planning.
• Set expectations with leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive KPIs for throughput, quality, security, and performance.
• Lead sprint planning, roadmap alignment, and resourcing.
• Stay current with industry trends and promote best practices.
