Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Backend Developer to join its Intel sector, building robust backend apps and APIs in Java and Python. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain services that enable secure, scalable communication between systems, collaborating with frontend, product, QA, and other technical partners.

The role requires a U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, a bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and developing APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP) and using Postman or Swagger UI.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL) and Git.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend applications and APIs using Java and Python.
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintainable software solutions.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for secure communication; integrate third-party APIs as needed.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to support reliable data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and QA to clarify requirements and deliver end-to-end functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and follow security best practices for data handling and API authentication.
• Where applicable, support cloud-native deployments and ongoing maintenance for existing apps and APIs.
