Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications and APIs using Java and Python. You will design RESTful APIs and microservices, integrate third‑party services, and work across teams to deliver secure, high‑quality software.

You should have at least 5 years of experience, a TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, and strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Flask, or Django, plus cloud familiarity. This role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python with modern frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices; familiarity with GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust backend services and APIs.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices with secure communication.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases for storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to define requirements.
• Optimize performance and ensure security best practices in data handling and API authentication.
• Optionally integrate cloud services (AWS/Azure) for cloud-native solutions.
