Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Access & Authorization team. You will help shape authentication and authorization capabilities across our distributed services, balancing strong security with a simple, scalable user experience.

Build secure Go and gRPC services, design OAuth2/OpenID Connect flows, manage tokens and sessions, and partner with product, security, and infrastructure to deliver high‑reliability systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend software engineering experience
• Experience designing secure APIs and auth flows (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs)
• Proficiency with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and data stores (Redis, DynamoDB)
• Track record delivering complex cross-functional projects
• Responsible use of AI to improve workflows and outcomes

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of authentication/authorization capabilities across services
• Build secure, low-latency Go and gRPC services with observability and SLOs
• Lead technical designs for advanced capabilities (signed tokens, passkeys, biometric recovery)
• Collaborate with product, security, fraud, and infra teams to balance speed, security, and compliance
• Mentor engineers and drive quality through code reviews and on-call participation
