Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Access & Authorization team to help shape secure authentication and authorization across distributed services. You will design foundational capabilities that balance strong security with a simple user experience across the company’s products and partner integrations.

You’ll own end-to-end design and operation of authentication, OAuth, sessions, tokens, 2FA, and edge authorization, building secure Go and gRPC services

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience with Go or a comparable systems-oriented language.
• Experience designing secure APIs and handling OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs, PKCE, or related standards.
• Proficiency with gRPC and data stores like Redis or DynamoDB; strong observability and SLO mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of authentication, OAuth, sessions, tokens, 2FA, and edge authorization.
• Build secure, low-latency Go and gRPC services across web, mobile, API, and partner experiences with strong observability and SLOs.
• Lead technical designs for initiatives like signed tokens, passkeys, biometric recovery, and device-aware authentication.
• Partner with product, security, fraud, and infrastructure teams to balance conversion, protection, and regulatory needs.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, pairing, and on-call participation.
