Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead and mentor engineers while delivering high-value products and scalable infrastructure. You will set technical direction, drive complex projects across the tech stack, and accelerate growth with AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
• Platform and API design: evolved core APIs, SDKs, and platform abstractions with REST, GraphQL, OAuth, JWT.
• Data Integrations: built data ingestion from external systems including cloud providers, HRIS, identity providers, and code repos.
• Systems thinking at scale: design for scale, reliability and failure modes.
• Technical leadership and cross-team influence: led teams and projects across the organization.
• Internal Enablement and Evangelism: build sample integrations, POCs, AI skills, docs, and workshops.
• Open to using AI to amplify skills and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and direction for critical platform surface areas to handle rapid growth.
• Design and evolve APIs, primitives, and self-service paths for internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Own authentication, data-ingestion, and schema-evolution primitives for secure, scalable integrations.
• Build secure, well-documented backend services and developer tooling (CI/CD) to boost productivity.
• Drive performance, reliability, and SDLC best practices; weigh buy-vs-build decisions.
• Mentor teammates and set design patterns the team follows.
• Build with TypeScript, React, and Node.js; leverage AI tools to accelerate development.
