Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high‑performance backend services. You will mentor engineers, influence platform direction, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive architecture and reliability.

You will focus on scalable web applications, cloud hosting on Kubernetes/AWS, and end‑to‑end delivery with strong CI/CD practices. You’ll contribute to planning, security, and performance improvements while growing a

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software engineer, shipping production code.
• 3+ years of backend distributed system design, development, and delivery.
• 3+ years of experience with microservice architectures.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS) and scalable web apps.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of scalable backend solutions.
