Job summary
Hims & Hers is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead backend design and scalable services that power our Patient Health Data Platform.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and influence architecture decisions across services. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years shipping production code, 3+ years of distributed systems and microservices experience, and strong cloud skills (Kubernetes, AWS).
Qualifications
- 5+ years shipping production code as a software engineer.
- 3+ years in back-end distributed systems design and delivery.
- 3+ years with microservice architectures.
- Bachelor’s or higher in CS or equivalent experience.
- Experience building scalable web services in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend solutions.
- Mentor engineers and set coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for architecture decisions.
- Lead technical initiatives to improve security, scalability and reliability.
- Drive observability with logging, monitoring and alerts.
- Contribute to architecture docs and reviews.
