Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Senior Engineer to own end-to-end patient facing experiences and backend services across the full stack. You will design, build, and iterate from frontend interfaces to backend integrations with external partners, ensuring accurate, reliable features with measurable patient impact.

You will collaborate with product, design, operations, data, and other engineering teams to launch features, improve UX, and refine patient journeys, using data-informed approaches and strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web products with full stack skills.
• Experience delivering scalable web apps in a cloud environment.
• Experience with third party integrations and asynchronous workflows.
• Proficiency in front end (HTML, CSS, JS, React, Next.js, GraphQL) and back end (Node.js, Nest.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, SQS).
• Shipping experiment-driven features and using feature flags/experimentation platforms.
• Strong web performance, accessibility, and modern UI engineering.
• Analytical and data skills; basic SQL or working with Analytics.
• Deep product mindset and iterative problem solving.
• Experience with Agile and CI/CD; automated testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration; organized.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of scalable full stack solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on best practices.
• Advocate for team priorities within engineering.
• Participate in product discovery sessions to validate ideas.
• Collaborate with UX/UI to create intuitive interfaces.
• Build and maintain integrations with external partners and internal systems.
• Contribute to technical vision and strategic tech investments.
• Break down projects into actionable tasks and drive execution.
• Improve workflows, tools, and processes to boost velocity and quality.
• Analyze metrics to identify optimization opportunities and drive improvements.
• Create and maintain architecture and integration docs.
• Conduct code reviews and share knowledge across the team.
