You will design and launch backend systems with Python or Kotlin, partnering with product, design, and analytics to align technical choices with business needs.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and performance in AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing backend systems at scale in Python or Kotlin.
• Experience with highly available distributed systems (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Deep Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns for security workloads.
• Define a technical plan for a significant feature with elegant, extensible design.
• Proven ability to make large codebase changes safely and with ownership.
• Proactive in seeking feedback from team, manager, and stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for your team and mentor engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics in ideation and decision-making.
• Identify issues early and lead in solving them.
• Support operations and on-call efforts with metrics and escalation.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team.
• Develop talent by giving feedback and guidance.
