You will collaborate with product, design and analytics, define technical plans, and write high-quality code. The role emphasizes scalable backend systems and frontend shipping, with ownership of growth and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Experience shipping frontend applications.
• Ability to define a technical plan for delivery of a significant feature or system component.
• Proven ability to make significant changes in a large code base with safe tooling and practices.
• Demonstrated ownership of growth and proactive feedback seeking.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration with global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers through ambiguity to deliver on objectives.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ideate and trade off technical constraints.
• Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology or business issues.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts with metrics and on-call readiness.
• Set and improve code review and design standards across the team and advocate beyond your own group.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance and leading by example.
