Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver core systems that process large volumes of financial data and events. You will influence the reliability of the balance sheet, accelerate finance automation, and build a strong technical foundation across Treasury and other platforms.

The role requires 4+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, AWS, and scalable backend services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Experience designing and building distributed, event‑driven applications in cloud environments such as AWS.
• Experience developing scalable backend services that process large volumes of data using modern programming languages.
• Experience designing, testing, and deploying reliable production systems using best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed, event‑driven systems powering accounting close automation and capital risk workflows.
• Deliver scalable data processing solutions transforming high-volume financial events into reliable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Analytics, Finance, and Engineering to define technical solutions for complex processes.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of critical financial systems while managing technical debt.
• Lead multi‑quarter engineering initiatives from architecture through production balancing long‑term investments with business priorities.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity while upholding high standards for quality, security, and correctness.
