Job summary

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to design, develop and test a modern web application with strong emphasis on quality and maintainability. You will work independently, translate high level requirements into solid software design, and contribute to test strategy with TDD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud or web application development experience.
• Expert knowledge of C# and .Net Core.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing containerized micro-services.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines to Kubernetes via Helm.
• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases and REST API design.

Responsibilities

• Independently designs, develops, modifies, and tests software units per process docs.
• Identifies opportunities to improve software processes and implements proposals.
• Utilizes AI tools like GitHub Copilot to develop maintainable code.
• Responsible for software design specs, interface descriptions, and documentation.
• Translates high-level requirements into software design and implementation.
• Develops and verifies unit/integration tests; employs TDD and code reviews.
• Mentors junior engineers and leads group discussions when needed.
• Diagnoses build/deployment issues and may guide others through the process.
