Close is seeking a seasoned Python engineer to shape the AI-enabled backend platforms that power our CRM. You will help expand DevDawg and Spice, implement robust API services, and ensure production readiness with strong observability practices.

You’ll work across technologies like Flask, FastAPI, GraphQL, and coding agents, collaborating with multiple teams to drive reliable, scalable systems for internal developers and external integrations.

Qualifications

• Seasoned Python engineer with strong experience shipping production-grade backend services.
• Experience building AI-powered tooling and working with large language models preferred.
• Solid grasp of observability, telemetry, metrics, tracing, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Expand DevDawg and Spice: cloud-based development environments and AI tooling for the stack.
• Build the paved roads for the API layer: REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI, authentication and permissions.
