Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is recruiting two Senior Backend Engineers for a fast-growing hospitality marketplace. You will design, build, and scale backend services and external APIs to support live inventory, pricing, and bookings. This hands-on role emphasizes architectural decisions, reliability, and collaboration with product and cross-functional teams.

Expect to work onsite in New York City four days per week with equity consideration for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend or platform development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting a growing hospitality marketplace.
• Build and maintain external-facing APIs that allow distribution partners and authorized AI agents to interact with live hotel inventory.
• Develop integrations supporting pricing, reservations, bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
• Design reliable transactional systems where accuracy, consistency, and data integrity are essential.
• Take ownership of API design, backend architecture, and day-to-day technical decisions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on foundational architecture and long-term platform scalability.
• Design relational data models supporting existing booking functionality and new product categories, including events, food, and beverage.
• Establish reusable engineering patterns that can support future partner integrations.
• Partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Write, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality production code.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and engineering efficiency.
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture focused on technical excellence, continuous learning, and thoughtful problem-solving.
