Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to take ownership of the core booking platform and external API infrastructure. This hands-on role defines backend architecture, leads complex initiatives, and builds scalable systems for distribution partners and AI-enabled pricing and booking tools.

The ideal candidate will balance strategic thinking with hands-on development, deliver reliable transactional systems, and influence engineering standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade backend applications.
• Proven ability to design and launch complex transactional systems (bookings, payments, orders, reservations, inventory).
• Strong experience building external-facing APIs and integrations used by multiple systems or partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, design, and technical roadmap for the core booking platform and external API infrastructure.
• Design and develop scalable backend services supporting bookings, pricing, reservations, inventory, and partner integrations.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives from design through production deployment and monitoring.
