Job summary

PAR Technology Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced NodeJS Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and related technologies across teams to deliver robust product experiences.

You’ll contribute to architecture, tooling, and tests, while debugging complex issues and promoting maintainable code. Remote-friendly role located in the US, reporting to Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience with distributed systems and microservices.
• Proficiency with GraphQL, TypeORM, and Nest.js.
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes (K8S) and message brokers (RabbitMQ) and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and API.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Investigate and resolve production issues and customer-reported bugs with a focus on root-cause analysis and long-term maintainability.
• Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Continuously improve code quality, testing practices, and development processes.
