Job summary

PAR Technology Corporation is seeking a NodeJS Engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend services. You’ll collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions using Node.js/Typescript, PostgreSQL and modern tooling.

You’ll work in a remote US environment, reporting to the Engineering Manager, with exposure to GraphQL, TypeORM, Nest.js, and Kubernetes, plus hardware integrations where relevant.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Node.js/Typescript and PostgreSQL.
• 8+ years of backend development with distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with GraphQL, TypeORM, and Nest.js is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, message brokers, APIs, and hardware integrations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and API.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Investigate and resolve production issues and customer-reported bugs with root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to system design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Continually improve code quality, testing practices, and development processes.
