Job summary

Disney Experiences Technology is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own end-to-end Java services and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable software solutions for Disney's brands and guest experiences.

You will work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment, applying AWS services, modern design patterns, and mentoring junior engineers while contributing to high-impact product launches.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development/ software engineering in a large enterprise.
• Experience with Java/Docker/Spring Framework in production.
• Experience in agile environments and driving engineering excellence.
• AWS design and implementation experience including ECS, S3, Lambdas, RDS.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases; data structures and design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend Java services from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product owners, TPMs, and other units to meet requirements.
• Lead code reviews and establish high engineering standards; mentor junior engineers.
• Develop solutions, optimize performance, and ensure system stability across cloud and on-premises.
• Design, debug, and implement software components for scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
