Job summary

Disney's Walt Disney Sight Technology LLC, part of Disney Parks, experiences and merchandise, seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Boise, USA. You will work with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and AWS to build scalable microservices and support revenue systems.

Responsibilities include designing anomaly detection, enhancing interfaces, automation of reconciliation, and improving security compliance while collaborating across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Familiarity with microservices and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Experience with RabbitMQ and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Expand and optimize systems to preserve revenue streams.
• Build anomaly detection within sales tooling.
• Collaborate with mobile teams to improve interfaces (UI, CoreAPI, services).
• Prepare, analyze and optimize tooling supporting revenue engines.
• Enhance security compliance and accelerate development speed.
• Identify issues and implement recovery paths per Disney DPEP standards.
• Update reconciliation and batch processing jobs; extend dashboards for incident metrics.
• Coordinate with IT teams to set up tracking and signals.
• Work with sales and success teams to automate reconciliation.
• Identify gaps with homegrown Terraform libraries and align with architecture groups.
• Increase reusable infrastructure code and testing frameworks.
• Participate in on-call duties.
