Verkada is seeking senior backend engineers to own and scale our IoT platform, provisioning devices, OTA firmware, and the licensing layer. You will collaborate across teams to build robust systems used by millions of devices globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building backend services with consistency, latency, and uptime guarantees at scale.
• Ability to listen to other engineering teams, shape shared technical direction, and ship changes.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency for FedRAMP compliance and onsite presence five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Architect, ship, and mentor others on the platform. Lead end-to-end features.
• Design and lead major platform features such as the IoT core and licensing ledger.
• Lead operational improvements to boost robustness and reduce pager noise.
