Job summary

Verkada is seeking experienced backend engineers to join the Core Command team in California. You will help scale the Auth, Users, Roles and Audit capabilities across Verkada's platform for large enterprise customers.

You will design scalable control planes, build distributed services in a microservices architecture, and ensure security and reliability for millions of devices worldwide. The role requires 4+ years of backend experience, proficiency in Python or Go, and hands-on work with

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience building and scaling access systems to millions of users.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery of Python or Go.
• Experience with Postgres/MySQL.
• Experience with Redis/Memcached.
• Experience with Kafka and caching.
• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Experience with React.
• Experience with GRPC and API specifications.
• Willing to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable control planes and data primitives for all Verkada products.
• Build scalable distributed systems to handle high traffic from devices worldwide.
• Spin up new services in a microservices architecture.
