Job summary

Vercel in San Francisco is seeking a senior engineer to own APIs, token infrastructure, authorization, SDKs, and integration patterns for Connect. You will collaborate with external partners to simplify building agents that connect with their products, balancing uptime, performance, and flexibility in a hybrid role.

This role requires 6+ years of backend or full-stack experience, deep OAuth/OIDC/JWT understanding, strong TypeScript skills, and a security-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building production backend or full-stack systems.
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, and JWTs.
• Security mindset for integration code and threat models.
• Strong TypeScript skills; comfortable on backend and frontend.
• Experience integrating with many third-party APIs.

Responsibilities

• Ship provider integrations end to end including auth flows.
• Own and improve uptime, performance and secret storage.
• Collaborate with partners to define authentication standards.
• Build and harden event forwarding with signatures and env scope.
• Extend SDKs and consent flows to support agents.
• Reduce integration effort across providers through configuration.
