Job summary

Vercel is seeking a senior engineer to own APIs, token infrastructure and authorization for the Connect team. You will collaborate with external partners to simplify agent-friendly integrations, balance uptime with performance, and enable seamless connections to many third-party services.

You’ll lead the design of authentication, authorization, and credential flows, while advancing the developer experience across backend and frontend components.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating production backend or full-stack systems.
• Deep understanding of users’ problems and focused product improvement.
• Security instinct for integration code — SSRF, DNS rebinding, redirects.
• Strong TypeScript and frontend/backend development experience.
• Experience integrating with many third-party APIs.
• Comfort with ambiguity and incremental shipping over a large surface.
• Pushes AI/agent tooling to advance developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Ship provider integrations end to end — auth flows, token exchange, app registration, and UI configuration.
• Own and improve infrastructure for uptime, performance and credential storage.
• Collaborate with external partners to implement new authentication/authorization protocols.
• Build and harden event forwarding with correct signatures and deployment targeting.
• Extend SDKs and frameworks to simplify agent credential workflows.
• Reduce integration costs by enabling configuration over code where possible.
• Turn learnings into platform improvements with connected teams.
