Job summary

Vercel is seeking a senior engineer to own APIs, token infrastructure, authorization, SDKs, and related platform surface for the Connect team. You will balance uptime, performance, and flexibility to connect with many systems.

Work across provider integrations, identity, and delegated access, collaborate with external partners, and help shape secure auth flows and scalable connections at the center of the agent platform. San Francisco base; competitive package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating production backend or full-stack systems.
• Deep understanding of OAuth 2.0/2.1, OIDC, and JWTs.
• Security instinct for integration code—webhook signature verification, redirect validation, and token security.
• Strong TypeScript and experience developing backend and frontend components.
• Experience integrating with many third-party APIs and complex auth flows.

Responsibilities

• Ship provider integrations end to end, incl. auth flows and OAuth presets.
• Own and improve Connect infrastructure for uptime and performance.
• Collaborate with external teams to define new auth protocols for AI era.
• Build and harden event forwarding with signature verification.
• Extend SDKs, consent flows, and framework adapters for Connect.
• Reduce effort for new integrations by making them configurational.
• Partner with Connect teams to translate learnings into platform improvements.
