Job summary

Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own complex backend workstreams in a healthcare setting. You will design robust AI prompts, build data pipelines with Databricks, and own a domain end-to-end including data models and contracts.

We value 5+ years of distributed backend experience, leadership across teams, and hands-on MongoDB and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

5+ years building distributed backend systems in production.
Proficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores.
Track record of leading technical work across a team.
Experience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Responsibilities

Design robust prompts using LLM frameworks.
Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to automate workflows.
Design and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks.
Own a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts.
Lead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Hold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own.
