Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Financing Engineering team within the Institutional group to design, build, and scale systems that safely manage billions of dollars in loans across Portfolio Margin, Trade Finance, Agency Lending, and more.

You will own backend services that drive recurring revenue, increase trading activity, and keep institutional assets on the platform. You will collaborate with Product, Risk, Operations, and other engineering teams to translate

Formación

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience, with ownership of high-reliability or financial workloads.
• Experience designing, building, and scaling service-oriented architectures in Go, Java, or a comparable backend language.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems with strong correctness and data integrity.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical design reviews, and raise the bar on code quality.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design and delivery of new financing products and features, from architecture through production launch.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and frameworks for loan lifecycle management and risk calculations.
• Improve tooling, testing infrastructure, monitoring, and operational reliability across financing systems.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and other teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Lead technical initiatives that strengthen system resilience and safe rapid shipping.
