Job summary

WeaveGrid, Inc. is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to independently design, implement, and deploy software for a cloud-based Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS).

You will work with partner device manufacturers and utilities to build robust, scalable backend services that monitor and optimize energy resources. You will own parts of the backend stack, collaborating with product managers and engineers to deliver new features, improve reliability, and ensure data quality across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience delivering complex systems independently.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to collaborate with US West Coast hours if working remotely.
• If based in SF Bay Area, office presence 2 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality backend systems for reliability and maintainability.
• Work with Python backend, relational databases, and microservice architecture with strong ownership.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver scalable DERMS features.
• Improve system reliability, data quality, and scalability across codebase.
